Jeez....I'm and my throat is a little achy, I'm guessing this is the cold that's going around, or allergies?

I've been around a lot of people with the cold, but haven't gotten it yet, but just today I'm feeling really drained and my throat aches a bit. Or it could be the hiv.

Get a real OS. This box could probably stay up another 100-200 days without issue. The longest I've ever seen a system uptime was just under 700 days, but after logging in, the only thing it could let you do is run the uptime command, everything else just hung. I'm surprised that system has been up for so long though, I think we decomissioned it and it's just sitting out there still. We typically reboot our servers every six months.

I think this is my personal record for Windows uptime, although, I'm surprised that everything is still usable, it's not slow at all and I constantly have Firefox, Outlook, Excel, multiple Word docs, terminal server, and some proprietary apps open. I've even put it into hibernate and connected to the VPN from home, then did the same thing to bring it back into work and everything is still fine. No wonder people are upgrading from Vista to XP...

My XP and Vista systems all run fine. I reboot only when a patch or some other crappy software update wants it. free AVG wanted a reboot recently so I can't boast any numbers.
