So I call this company for support. They have pretty slick software; it does full system backups and recovery for Linux, AIX and Solaris. They can do backups and netboot recoveries across hardware types. Anyway, I'm setting up a POC for the software in our environment and needed a push in the right direction. The support guy goes to check with someone else about a question I have and puts me on hold.

There's a pause for a second on hold and all of a sudden:



It's looping .

My company didn't trust me as a sysadmin either.

That's why they promoted me to engineer.

No, they just let you BELIEVE you're an engineer. They actually have a real engineer somewhere hidden that designs everything. They've learned not to trust you but feel bad and don't want to give you the news
