And it's not free money seeing how your taxes paid for it.

Thanks for the info.
I knew The SRIC would come through.
My assistant & I were coming back from lunch @ the casino, when I saw my boss & #2 pacing around the break room next to my office.
Went to my desk, changed into my boots, the phone rang.
The VP called me into his office & said "I'm letting you go. But, if you want, you can write up a letter of resignation...so you leave with pride."
I asked him why would I quit if I was just fired and loose out on UI.
Also mentioned that pride don't pay bills.
We talked for a while, I apologized for my failures, and thanked him for 6 years of experience.
As I was cleaning out my ****, my boss walked past me, gave me a goofy look, and said nothing.
"Is that all you can muster up?. My God, if you can't even fire someone, what else can't you do?" were my final words to a failure of a leader.
I can easily go a year without work...but I'd rather not.
Something about pride and what not.
You're right, Salty, it ain't free money.
It's twenty year's worth of contributing to the System coming back to me.

Paul,
I can get you the contact info for the Facility Manager at NEC in Roseville if you like. It's a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Being a Japanese company it's a bit different in management style, but I always liked interacting with those guys. I was a contractor there for four years and it's a good place to work. Are you Six Sigma certified?

No, I'm not 6 Sigma'd, as my previous company didn't see the value in it.
