Nice choice egan! Now drop that US 3.2L and put in the euro spec 3.2L
My friend has a 99 M coupe with a Conforti intake and chip he got from turner motorsports iirc. I love driving it
He wanted to get I believe Eissman (sp?) exhaust but damn exhaust for his car is expensive. At a minimum of about $1100+ but I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue for you

I'm curious to hear how it compares -- though I'm sure it's better all around.

This is the S54 engine. All 2001/02 M Coupe worldwide had the same engine (although the Euros made 10 more hp due to emissions differences). Only the 1999/00 models had different engines between Europe (S50B32) and US (S52).

But if I really wanted to swap, I know for a fact that an LS-1 will fit.

That Eismann exhaust price is cheap (I've actually seen it for closer to $2K). I looked up the exhaust that came on my car and it is $3K+ (AC Schnitzer).

So will your new Liscence plate say E46 LS1?

NOTE: I have no idea if the E46 is relevant or is even correct. I just took a shot in the dark.

E46 = last gen M3...not M coupe.

Egan: I can't see what interior you have. Is it the tan ostrich option? If so that is my favorite. Tan interior + that blue = McAwesome good looks

What would be the correct E#? Or is it even an E for the M Coupes?

Thanks, when I googled M Coupe it brought up the M3 page...

I assume the 8 means the M

So the License plate should read:
