well, how often do people get pulled over for retrofit lights anyway? the bacon is looking for tinted windows and loud exhausts more often than brighter lights.

 

It depends on how smart the cop is and if they can tell if its a retrofit or not. Also, its not only leo's that can get you. The bar and vehicle inspections count too. I'm just stating the obvious and not intending to get into a statistical debate on whether how many people will get pulled over.

 

arguments on the internet are not my forte bro. i'm sure the new projectors will be less conspicuous than the full blown HIDs that were in there before. if i were to do it again with the lights, i'd probably just leave them alone with all the orangy goodness of the reflectors lol.

 

or keep two sets! im a head/tail ***** while others are wheels ******. LOL I have 2 bugeye headlight sets (one retro angel eyes the other stock) 2 and half 04 sets. LOL my stock bugeye tails that are floatiing around somewhere, and then my 06-07 retrofit tails...*sigh* I like lights.

for real tho, i wanna see what they look like. i already have the 04 tails which are by far the best tails subaru ever put out but if the retrofit rears look cool i might hate you for showing them to me.

 

DOT approved housing so he's in the clear. Don't see people getting in trouble for ridiculous lights so you'd have to really look to know the projectors aren't done from factory anyway.

 

Yea a member on here got pulled over for their jdm bugeye projectors headlights. The dot stamp saved them. But that doesn't mean these housings are dot approved for the projector retrofit. Theres a difference lol. It has to be there from factory.

 

what kit did you get installed?

 

Let us see some pics with the lights actually ON, or at night..an exterior and a POV/driver's shot would be nice!

 

I will try to remember to take pics at night. I hardly ever drive when it's dark anymore tho since its light out much later now.
