but we're not talking 22's, BMW's, or big houses. we're talking food prices. good food costs more, crap food costs less. there is an inbetween where you can find the same thing for slightly less depending on where you shop... and to be frank, if $120 a month means the difference between making a mortgage payment and not, those people have bigger issues to deal with than where they shop.

example: food source, raleys, bel air are all the same company.
food source costs less than raleys, which costs less than bel air.
i guarantee you that a nice cut of ribeye from bel air is fresher, tastier, and a better cut than from raleys, and far better than food source. it costs more, but the quality is much better.

i might eat like crap, but i certainly don't want to eat crap.

I have always found that Raleys has the best meat selection. Safeway is pretty good as well.

The $120 a month doesn't make the difference between being able to pay bills or not for us, but it does add to the money I can spend on my hobbies, save for small vacations, or let the wife spend for fun. All that without affecting the overall budget, pulling money out of savings, etc. I love saving money.

I will still buy steaks and meats from bel air though. No way from walmart.

Case in point: Wife just called. She's off work at a reasonable hour for once, I'm have class tonight, so she says "I'm gonna go see if there's some good sales at the downtown mall!"

Have fun, honey.

don't flaunt your wealth in the face of others. Sounds like you need to pay more taxes!
