they're hard as heck to find...
even ebay has a poor selection...

just checked...there's only 3 sets...and one is butt ugly converse all star style and the other two are for minature feet....size 8...WTH!?!?!

i rarely see them on there.

i saw a whole lot of them once at the folsom outlets in one of the shoe stores there...must have been old stock from someplace...but at the time i didn't have the cash...

I was talking with a couple of the Webex guys about this last weekend, after Scotty broke my glasses

There is 2 ways to get it done, one is the lasik way, where they make a small cut and then use the laser, this does cause some thinning to the cornea, but has the least complications.

The second way is if you already have a thin cornea then they cant risk making the cut first s they first use a laser to burn a hole in your corona then they use a different laser to fix everything. This way the cornea can heal at the same thickness as before. The one guy who had this done said he would never do it again. He was bed ridden for like 5 days because he was in so much pain. He recommended that if they say you have a thin cornea to just deal with glasses and contacts.

Everyone else said to go with the lasik if they say my coronas are thick enough. Only thing I am afraid of is I already have a slight glare at night and that is one of the major side effects of lasik, you can get night glare so bad you cant drive anymore.

Oh and they all went to the Lasik eye place that is on the first floor of the building webex is in, make Aaron or Scotty tell you…….

i have some major doubts about those cheap Lasik procedures. with that said, i can refer you to a Lasik specialist here in the bay area. i am not affiliated with him in any way. he actually does Lasik surgeries for the 49ers.

the caveat is that it's nowhere near $300/eye though.

Dr. Keith Liang in down town sac.

I had PRK which is the painfull one. If you can get the Lasik then get it. Faster recovery and pretty much pain free. The PRK feels like you have glass in your eye...but I'd do it again to not have contacts or glasses.

I have a mini-dvd from his office. Guess it's kinda like a video business card. If you want it let me know and I can drop it off to you.

I did LASIK. No pain the next day. Just make sure you bring your drops! I was at work the next day with 20/20 vision.

i have a consultation with the Newman clinic today. i'm not even considering doing any kind of $300 per eye plan, not worth the risk.

that'd be like buying the ERZ downpipe off e-bay...
