But if it does just look at it this way. It'll wash away the homeless.

Dudes, why do you think I live in Folsom, I'm a geologist, no self respecting geologist would live in a flood prone area
I say all you persons in Natomas move out to Folsom, then we can have the meets in Folsom, yay!!! For the NO persons there's plenty of room out at Aerojet, course I wouldn't drink the water, nor would I set foot past the fenceline, I know too much about that place (I do environmental remediation) :P
Edit: Just FYI, Natomas is I believe on a 1000 year or 10,000 year floodplane, in either case, its overdue, be wary.

didn't you have to sign the "if there is a quake over X magnitude they will blow the upper dam" waver when you bought in Folsom?
my buddy did, and he had to get flood insurance also...but the flood insurance won't cover it if the dam busts loose...which is ironic/moronic.
the section that will blow is the part on Green Valley Rd (left side when headed east)...they rigged it to sizemographs (?) to trigger explosives in the base of that dam/levy if a quake large enough to damage the main dam (by their calculations) were to happen to keep the main valley from being washed into the delta.
this would cause Folsom Lake to puke thru folsom and shoot out towards aerojet and wash south down grantline/whiterock area.
the magnitude limit was pretty high IIRC but it's all setup to do it automatically so that the main dam won't be damaged.
no thanks...i'll stick to the foothills...you can have your flatlands.

The problem I've seen is that the chunk of the country has with the people leaving NO in need of shelter is are overweight, 12 kids, no teeth, didn't have a job before the flood why get one now, ghetto trash that are on TV.
I've been raised to help those that help themselves. besides yelling "where's my government help!" what have they done on their own?
the military should be up to their necks with folks that have no reason not to join. i don't care what branch.
3 hots, a cot and a pay check beats the $#!+ out of a shelter that smells like @$$.
the poor need to quit blaming every one.
get off the cross, use it to make a bridge and cross it already.
I know damn well if it was here. I'd have a place to go. grandma live 4 hours north. grandpa lives 2 hours east. worst come to worse I'm 14 years from a military retirement..
