Got a speeding ticket
Going 86 in a 65. I know, shame on me. Went a hair faster than traffic was (80-ish)
And recommendations of a lawyer to take care of this in the Sacramento area? or should i just pay it off? Depending on how much it cost + insurance premiums, i figure it might be better for a lawyer to take care of it, no?

own up to your mistake and pay the fine. take traffic school and insurance won't go up.
most of the time if you're in the wrong beyond a reasonable doubt a lawyer won't do much for you at all, but will charge you an additional 500 on top of whatever your fine is.

I got a speeding ticket in sac doing 85 in 65 and i tried to fight it knowing that i did it. BAD idea. I say go to court and plea guilty and most likely from what i saw the judge will reduce the fine if you just own up to it and say guilty. Hope it goes well.

+1.. Lawyers can't magically make tickets disappear. If you have some kind of valid defense you might try a trial by written declaration.. Otherwise just pay up and take traffic school..

Your speeding ticket money goes to help the state, your lawyer money goes who knows where.
What makes you think a lawyer would help anyways? You said you were going 86 right? Nothing would ever change that.
Even if the lawyer set you free from your ticket, you'd end up paying him 3+ times as much.
