A. It's the law to do so. Why risk getting stopped and harrassed by CHP or PD because you're not running a front plate? They could pull you for that, then pop your hood, cite you for tint, etc, etc. Besides....
B. Your car isn't a show car. If it is, take off the plate when it's at a show. Otherwise, your car is just a car and the plate is required anyway, so just run it. It's not like running a front plate suddenly halves the value of the car.

Word to that. Have you guys seen that vid where the PT cruiser goes in to an intersection and gets t-boned from the passenger side by a Forester, which sends both cars careening in to some poor dude crossing the street (he was in the crosswalk). I read that both drivers were found at fault as one of the vehicles (I think the Forester) had sped up for a yellow and entered the intersection right as it turned red, and the PT Cruiser had not slowed down for his red light as he knew it was turning green in a second. I hate seeing people run lights and stopsigns - it saves maybe a couple minutes IF you don't have an accident, which could ruin or end your life.
Me & 2 other cars almost got taken out bad by a big white van the other day.... he made a left on a red about 4 seconds after his light had turned and he was probably going 30+, luckily i didnt take off right when the light turned like i usually do or i woulda been royally ****ed.

You should have called the cops and asked them to stop the white van and see if he was the Sheriff killer .

My wife and I nearly got killed in 2002 over by Wal-Mart off Truxel. We were on Truxel going over the freeway away from Wallyworld and stopped at a red light. The light turned green so we started to go, I looked left and saw some stupid ******* in an 18 wheeler approaching way too fast to stop. He blew the light and nearly t-boned us off the god damned overpass. We brake checked him, which pissed off some old codger who apparently missed the part where the guy nearly killed us. My wife was driving and the guy got in front of her, slammed on the brakes and got out, charging to her door. I got out, blocked him and told him to get back in the car when Sac P.D pulled up behind us and busted the guy. He said he saw the guy block us in and charge out of his truck. He let us go and was having a nice little talk with him as we pulled away.

If anyone's interested, I bumped my front license plate bracket review because I thought it would be relevant to this thread. BTW, it you don't like having the bracket stand-off from the face of your bumper, you could probably remove or cut down the rubber isolators and mount the bracket flush.

I'm 90% sure that Pennsylvania does. I've seen STi's with the plate over the left fog light cover, so I'm assuming. Never taken the time to look it up.

And where might I procure one of these things?

p.s.: taking off the front plate doesn't help when you have 64 sq. acres of chrome on the front of your Titan. Thanks Nissan for that wonderful design.

A) Becase I don't care about a 10 dollar ticket... PD can harass me all he wants for a 10 dollar ticket it... And they can pop my hood all they want, it's stock.... Oh ya... this only implys while i'm driving my camaro the STi has a front plate and I wear it proudly!!!

B)Problem is alot of cars u gotta drill holes into the bumper or get some weird back asswards mounting plate that ends up scratching your bumper... And like I said... It's Ugly...

But really... what I'm gunna say after this isn't a debateable subject.... Take that damn plate off that vette, hideous LOL

meh, I'm over it. I'm at the point where I'd rather just stay out of the cops way and let them harrass someone like you who isn't running a front plate
