I probably should it's rediculous how they won't give me any assistance at all. They'll **** me in an instant come tax season and forget about me until then.

Why don't you go set up a tent infront of the white house and get all the news media to cover your story for a month, then set up a rally? I hear that works well.

I'd rather not. I would lose more money in the work I'd miss than I'd make from FEMA for damn sure.

I finally bought a new one, so the infamous Compaq is up for grabs. Small screen, but it seems to run fine, gets decent battery life (2 batteries), etc. 10gb drive, 192/256mb of ram (can't remember). Celeron 600, CD (no DVD).....and that's about it.

The only weird thing about it is that the wireless card dies after a few minutes; restart the laptop, and it's fine for a few minutes....dunno if it's a driver issue, card issue, or the laptop. It's probalby an easy fix, I just wanted a new toy.

It's not the greatest thing out there, but if you need something cheap, lemme know. Maybe ~200, trade for something (no sexual favors!), dunno. OBO.

This is a Compaq, and comes with the only warranty that implies, which is that if something goes wrong, I try and help you fix it. Laptop is aobut 3-4 years old.

I'm a great salesman, eh?

Yeah, Space-A is cool and all, but I'd rather have a (mostly) guaranteed flight home, instead of having to wait a week for the AF to send a broke C-5 to replace their other broke C-5.

what'd you end up getting?

i'm still liking that acer i got like 2 years ago... it's been relatively bulletproof and is still semi-equivalent to what's out there now.
