I love when I have to do upgrades and app people take their sweet ****ing time shutting down the apps. It took 18 minutes yesterday. We're 40 minutes in at this point....

If it's a scheduled upgrade then they shouldn't be on it. shut it down. They should be grateful for the 5 minutes 'extra' you give them.

Well, cool, they finally got the apps shut down, but now the database won't shut down so I get to wait for the DBA...

Actually wasn't too bad. Woke up at 8 after a fantastic sleep. Went out for a spin on my bike to make sure it's all dialed for tomorrow. Went to the bike shop and to REI to buy some goodies. Hung out with my wife and hit did an errand or two, picking up a few things we wanted for the house.

Now just working on these upgrades and I'm all done for the day. DBA just got the DB down so I'm upgradin these bad boys now. Shouldn't take much longer.
