Alright, gimme some help here....

For the wedding, Josey and I ordered our flowers from a site www.onlinewholesaleflowers.com. We ordered 500 white roses for $370. Not a bad deal. The day before the wedding, our shipment arrived...well, half of our shipment arrived. We ended up with 250 roses, not the ordered 500. The shipping information on the package indicated this was package "1/1", meaning nothing else had been shipped.

Ok, no big, we call them, they say the flowers can't be delivered now as the flowers come from Miami, they'll try to figure something out and call us back. They don't call us back, so on the day of the wedding, my mom went out and bought $200 worth of flowers to make up the difference (she bought em at a local florist that morning).

So after the wedding we call the flower place, who again doesn't return our calls. Finally, this week (a month later), they say that they've issued us a store credit and will not refund our money. They have a policy page (http://www.onlinewholesaleflowers.com/policy.html) that says they issue refunds only in the form of a store credit. They sent Josey this policy the day of the order.

Now, I could understand receiving a store credit based on this policy if I were to have ordered the flowers and returned them for some reason. However, because we didn't receive half of our order and had to go out and spend an equivalent amount of money on flowers (equivalent to the cost of the half of our order we were missing) I think we should get a refund. I have absolutely no use for wholesale flowers and don't want a store credit.

Am I in the right for expecting a refund, given that we didn't receive half our order, or am I just being a dick and their policy states they only give store credit so I'm stuck?

Whatcha think?

They ****ed up, they should offer a refund on the order they ****ed up on. Simple as that.

Store credit clauses should only be for returned merchandise, not ****ups. Don't forget to tell them they are ****ups and that none of us will ever buy flowers from those ****ups every the **** again.

Hell no you're not. Hopefully you paid with a credit card. If you did call them and I'm sure you'll get it knocked off you account.

I vote for pursuing the issue with your CC company.

Unless you paid by check in which case I'll take weapons to Vegas next week.

if they're an online ONLY type business file a complaint on the BBBonline.

that stuff affects online businesses much more than it does a regular storefront.

other than that...i guess use it to send your wifey flowers once a month...

I vote for pursuing the issue with a baseball bat (since no CC companies were involved )

Yeah, if they absolutely refuse to refund the money, I'm going to own the boyfriends/husbands of all Joseys coworkers by sending 250 roses to her work on Valentines day :rotfl:

This really sucks... Was it that much cheaper to go through this company instead of someone local? If I were you I'd ask for all the money back, maybe they'll give you half. I'am pretty sure when you had to go elsewhere to get the flowers that they didn't match perfectly??

Either way GL and enjoy the score credit, or should I say a few times out of the dog house (Send dozen rose)
