Lots of people want to do it, at the current pay scale. I'd imagine many would for less.
One of my friends looked into it, but ended up working for a hawaiin bound cruise line instead.

I'll be buying a house in a few months and am only making a bit more than those garbage men, plus I have a car payment. I'll need roommates to help pay the mortgage, but it should work out fine.

We were paying $1800/month making ~$50k, with a $400 car payment. We had plenty of money left over, but according to that website I was spending $800 more a month than I could afford.

50k/yr is about $3000 a month, so -1800/mo leaves you with 1200 a month.
Minus home owners insurance and property taxes, about $950 a month, minus car payment... Leaves $550 a month for gas, insurance, savings, food, utilities etc.
I think the website assumes a few things (Like 10% net income savings, etc.) So I can certainly see how 50k could work.
My household just became single income (Wife worked for e*trade and they shut their site down, now she's having trouble finding work.) so I need to learn some money skillz.
