Does anyone play The WarZ?
I'm curious too.
Not because I play it, but because it's going to go down as one of the absolute worst games ever made and was wondering if any suckers actually paid money for it

Yeah, foreal. I heard it was unfinished, so Steam had to pull it from their store and refund the users.
I've been playing Arama 2 Day Z mod.. if that is what you are referring to..its pretty good. pretty hard too especially if your not in a group. You are agaisnt zombies and other ppl that enter the server.
War Z and DayZ are two different games.
War Z was removed from Steam because the company that is behind it has some very suspicious business practices. The game being too unfinished is just one of the many complaints. The fact that it's still not back up on Steam after it's removal in December speaks volumes. The War Z Mess: Every Crazy Detail We Know So Far [UPDATE]
DayZ is an excellent game, if you have the patience for it. I highly recommend it if you are a PC gamer.

Truth is that The WarZ did blow up and caused a lot of hype. They tried to take the Dayz concept and make it better. So far I think they are failing especially when they charge $$$$ for the game and they implemented a item market (ammo, weapons, food, etc.....). It's a survival game your supposed to scavenger for your own items not pay to win. It's still fun to play when you want to dick around with your friends and jump other survivors just for troll purposes. Overall the game is disappointing.
You don't need anything extra to play. Launch ARMA II OA on it's own without DayZ and filter for "Wasteland". There are a ton of servers up these days.

If you like the ARMA II engine, you should give Wasteland a try. It's not zombies, but it's a lot of fun if you enjoy the PvP in DayZ. In my opinion the more time you put into DayZ, the more it becomes a PvP game anyway. Wasteland just focuses on it, and gives you a ton of weapons and vehicles to use. There are also base building materials. Even if you like DayZ better, Wasteland is a great way to hone your PvP skills, which are quite valuable in DayZ if you want to survive.

haha if you can run battlefield 3 you can run Day Z. I notice some gliches here and there in DayZ. The only thing down about the game.. It's soo time consuming, but that is the point of the game.. its not you typical Left 4 Dead theme where you die and come back alive. DayZ is purely survival lol.
Small companies like Bohemia don't typically get that kind of support. I do think that it'll be different for ARMA III and the DayZ stand alone because of the number of copies they expect to sell. Hopefully they will get the support and the games will be much better optimized.

You are actually at a disadvantage it you are running all the highest settings while you are playing DayZ. The different settings weren't designed to balance the multiplayer gameplay. Example: if you have your graphics turned up, you'll see a lot more grass that can obstruct your sight of someone. Someone with their graphics turned down a bit won't have that obstruction to the same degree. Graphics in games like BF3 are balanced for that type of discrepancy.
DayZ LFG
DayZ LFG
At the same time i'm sort of anticipating maybe some news of a L4D3 developing.
