do lowering springs "settle in" after being installed.

John (GT35 STi) says no, and has been telling another member of this forum that has been having suspension issues that they dont. and how the idea of springs settling in is "complete bull****"

he called me an idiot and blah blah blah about how they dont change even a milimeter when i said that they do settle in after about a week or 2 of being on the car. in my personal case with my coilovers, they lowered about a 1 finger gap over 2 weeks time and i had to readjust them to compensate.

so most of you guys on here know your stuff. please shed light on the situation.

I like how you take what I said totally out of context, I stated that a quality spring will not settle, besides sitting better in the strut itself, the companys spend thousands and thousands of dollars in research to make it so springs don't 'settle'. I have asked you, what is it that will make the actual spring "settle" you realize what you are saying is that the spring is basically weakening in the first few hundred miles, to the point the car lowest inches, but then some how the spring magically gets it's strength back and holds up at that height for the next 100k miles.... That's bull****, a spring will naturally gradually weaken, and the car will naturally slowly get lower and lower, just like if you take a spring from a pen, and keep compressing it... it will keep getting weaker and weaker, it doesn't get DRASTICLY weaker after 2 clicks, then holds the same clicking force for the next 100,000 clicks...

still have yet to answer my question I have asked you a million times... Shall I make it bigger for your, since you obviously can't read the normal size font?

What makes the actual spring "settle" inches in the first 200 miles, but then holds up at the same height... like you state it does... for the next 100,000 miles??

that's because you never SAY anything, look at your response in this thread, look at your response in other threads... I have never heard you say anything halfway intelligent in any argument. You don't even read what I type, you type the same **** over and over again. There is no point rebutting anything you say, I get a better response talking to my cat...
