From rough estimation, it should go from the front bumper all the way back to cover about half of the tranny

i was gonna do something similar actually
. was gonna use a piece of aluminum to keep things light, but never got to it due to expense.
are you cutting with rotary tools or do you have access to a plasma cutter?

Probably just rotary tools, but a fellow member up in Aubrun with a plasma cutter or Mig offered for me to use them if needed

Make sure you have some holes for ventilation. Heat exchangers (ie. radiators, oil coolers, intercoolers) only work when there is a pressure differential between the "cold" and "hot" air side. If pressure builds up in the engine bay and can't escape quickly, the pressure difference across your heat exchangers will be lower than it used to be and everything will run hotter.

^ well my finished product isnt "sealed" under the car. So im not sure if it will change anything or not. Ill keep an eye on my thermostat and oil temp to see if anything raises.
