Delayed Spool

Hey guys I'm new to the forums and I've been planning on coming out to the meets these days. Don't really know any subaru drivers haha. I've got an 05 wrx and after doing some data logs on the accessport I'm only hitting target boost at around 4500-5000 rpms doing a 3rd gear pull. I'm peaking about 15.5 psi on stage 2 tune but isn't it supposed to happen at around 3k rpm? I took off the intercooler about a month ago and there wasn't any oil in it and the turbo didn't have much shaft play so I'm pretty sure the turbo is fine. Could it be a leaky uppipe or bad gaskets? Has anyone experienced this? Or is it normal haha

I checked all the vac lines and they seem to be good. I'll look into the boost control solenoid. Thanks

Unless you have a vac line that's popped off or damaged, that usually won't really help you.
You need a proper boost leak test. Ideally a pressurized smoke test. Visually checking lines and couplers is usually only good at identifying giant leaks or issues, not minor ones.

But start by de-powering your bcs and seeing if that changes boost onset. I see a ton of failed ones on cars over 80k

Do you know where I would be able to get a boost leak test done? And how much it would cost me? I'm not even sure how to depower the bcs lol.
