Wait a minute, George Romero just made the last one, why remake a movie that is a prequel to the last one???? I don't get it.

 

Because of the nature of the films, they have been independent films, and have always been issues with who owns the rights to them. He wrote and directed them but they were financed by random millionaires and those guys have sold his films rights to other companies. And they want to ride the band wagon and make some $$$ while the undead are still a popular thing.

He’s said in many interviews and on commentaries that his movies are not in any order or that they are a series, but because of the titles that have been used for the films just ends up being expected that they are.


What’s going to throw many people off is Ving Rhames being in this Day remake, made by a different production company then the Dawn remake and playing a different character.

 

Plot Outline: When the world is overrun by the flesh hungry dead a small group of survivors head to an underground military bunk in a last ditch effort to stay alive.

I remember this one as a complete stupid funny gore fest, good ending though.

Shaun of the Dead, way better!

 

The character he's going to play died(zombies eating him) in the original movie, so hopefully he dies in the remake in the same way or worse I hope this movie is a gore fest like the original.
