I overheard someone on this board saying that the reason that you get pulled over so much is because you pull away from every light like you are racing and shift at 5000 rpm. :rotfl:

I got pulled over because my stock 06WRX exhaust was to loud. Then he told me, not asked me, to pop my hood and started asking me what everything was. I was going through a drive through and he pulled in there like he was a mad man and just waited for me.
I think all he saw was a young guy, 25, a hood scoop, and a spoiler. Just a little bit of profiling.
Overall, if you are driving stupid you cant complain to get a ticket, but if you drive good and get harrased it is a bunch of S***.

If an officer pops your hood and then proceeds to ask you a question about anything under there, simply tell him that if he has to ask, he is not qualified to conduct this inspection and close it.

Again, these stories are ONE sided, nothing verifiable, it doesn't help anybody to tell your story because your going to tell it your way to make it sound like you were helpless and innocent, plus it just spreads mistrust and misinformation where there should be none.

Hmmm.... What if your car was completely stock and your were asked to pop the hood knowing that if you didn't your vehicle would be impounded and searched. I would be tempted to let them impound it then blow that **** up all over the news.

But at that point, your car was not impounded because it was illegal. The reason for the impound would be the fact that you broke the law and refused to comply with the officer's lawful request. It is better to be in the frying pan than the fire...

The news would not care, they would call your car a street race machine equipped from the factory for illegal racing activities and 99% of the dumb *** public would buy it.

Ok to be fair i did turn the corner a little bit fast but there was NO tire squeal or anything extreme like that just a brisk turn.... i only did that because the light turned yellow as soon as i left the line, i was also alone at the light with no other cars around. This was on folsom blvd RCPD...

I think its thisizbrian you're referring to... i take off 1at 1800rpm & shift at ~3800 when im putting around (most of the time) and believe me kids try to race me all the time & i excercise quite a bit of restraint & just let em go. Sometimes i drive like steve mcqueen though yes but i have never gotten pulled over for that, its always some bull**** where i really wasnt doing anything outrageous.

What's the big deal about turning a corner fast, as long as you're in control, right?

i did this 1 time, except my tires did squeel slightly, and i got pulled over and got cited for exhibition of speed.. and i was 100% stock when this happened mind you.. this was in sacramento off 24th street.. cops excuse was there was an ordinanace in that part of town 2 combat street racing and i happen to fall within that window, thus the exhibition of speed.. GHEY!!!!

Squealing tires= exhibition of speed. He didn't need an "excuse."

And I left out the macro.

Yeah, I've drifted t-Will's mom around corners at 100+, but I was in control the whole time...
