I'm selling my STi and need to pass smog. I failed the visual today but passed emissions. He also said there was an O2 sensor missing, which is not true. I am running a Stealthback exhaust with high flow cat with 02 sensor. His reference book showed only a 2.0 Turbo and a 2.5 N/A motor, no 2.5 Turbo. WTF? Anyway, he said I'd have to take it to a referee. Seems awfully strange since all I did was directly replace the stock exhaust and replug all of the 02 sensors that were on the stock pipe.

Anyone in the Folsom/Sac area wanna loan/rent me their stock pipe for a day?

Take it to another shop and get it smogged. guys sound like a smog *******

If you are running a stealthback every competent shop will fail visual for you. Even with the cat in place. Not OEM emissions system means it will fail. Period. Only way it will pass "at another shop" is if said shop sucks or doesn't know what its doing.
Install stock downpipe, pass, profit.
