Yeah it's a Scoobysport axleback. Before the RT cat pipe, over 5krpm all I could hear was my AEM intake, now I cannot hear the intake at all. It's wicked loud. Waaaaay too loud. I like the drivability difference though and the feeling of more power - though my CEL came on again this morning $%#^%$@#.

So anyone local in the Bay Area have a stock RS axleback? Please? I would even pick up or rent something that will bolt up as long as it's queiter.

There was a guy who was giving away an RS axelback some time ago. Run through the NorCal classified section. I am sure he still has it.

I searched and found it, replied to the message. He's in Santa Rosa though and my schedule is so messed up I missed out on a cool thing I wanted in Berkeley because I could never make it over there.

I was hoping SOMEONE between San Jose and San Francisco would have something quieter I could bolt to my RS....

Anything?

id let you borrow my setup ( STi axleback/custom 2.5" non-resonated midpipe/stock cat ) but i have an exhaust leak, and although its an STi axleback, i think when the midpipe was made, it sits where the driveshaft would go. my L is FWD

Ah no worries. I went by Performance Fab again, and they basically told me they didn't want to mess with it because they have had problems making exhausts for people's street cars and told me to go to Meineke in Redwood City. They seemed pretty cool, but then they messed up my RT cat pipe when fixing it and told me "it was like that when you brought it in" even though the very same guy shook it in front of me when I dropped it off, saying "well at least it's not rattling or loose." The donut was missing when I picked it up - so I asked for it. When he gave it to me, it had an obvious mark where it was dropped... The cat goes "clunk" if you turn it side to side, and he said "there's nothing we could have done for that to happen." Oh well. Another shop down the drain. No need to stop by there ever again.

Another friend recommended me a place to go on Old County though, if they can make me a catback this week sometime I will just do that.
