Cameras
I know a lot of you are camera buffs so I figured I'd ask here.
I would like a new camera as the one I have now sucks. It's one of those old Sony 1.5 pixel cameras. Got it when I was in Tokyo in 2000. Good for the glove box.
Would like something else that will take solid pictures without breaking the bank. Even something used would be great. Any ideas?

any canon point-and-shoot FTW!!1!1!!
S/SD-series is the best IMO.
then A-series (Main drawback to the A-series is they require AA/AAA batteries and they're slightly bigger).
for more camera buff ppl, the G-series is a nice mix of P&S ease and SLR functions.
I have a G6 I use at work (8.1mp) for misc shots and it works very well.
good for snapshots as well as staged studio type shots (including F-stop bracketing).
and of course you can jump on board w/ any of their SLR's if you're more of a hobbiest camera guy.

And seriously, stay away from Minolta, I had a point and shoot and it was freaking slow to start up, the menus were slow, the flash charged slowly, and it would forget the date and time when swapping out batteries, it seriously sucked.
I have a Kodak P&S now and and really happy with it, although, it's a little large for today's standards.

damn im a cheap sob.
I also have some pos camera now from costco. Was like $250 back in 2004 and sucks badly. It over focuses. I know $300 is a steal and i'm still having trouble justifying the price.
What about the SD750? I may have to dig-up old best buy cards and ask a relative Best Buy worker for a discount.

if you bought it in 2004 and it was under their old policy of 100% customer satisfaction then you prolly have a chance of getting an upgrade.
they just recently changed their policy (to aviod people abusing the return policy) and IIRC its only effective on purchases from that point on.
worth a shot if you still have the receipt.
