The service uses... you guessed it, guns.

So the military is... smart for recruiting people that they wouldn't have to spend as much time training. Unlike some suburban kid who drives a highly modified import that takes for granted a life of luxuary he wouldn't have if these "oppressed" kids weren't recruited to do a job he hasn't (maybe can't) volunteer for. And there by, (though this is far off) not causing a draft. By being recruited, the U.S. government has given these kids a chance to do something with their lives (like your friend).
thank you for proving my point?

Yes, I have been to the AYYY TEE EELLLL(georgia) and New Orleans... That's not ghetto... that's flat out poor....

do you actually read this **** before you post it? against policing actions, against nation building, but pro afghan war?

YSAAI

Afghanny world is where the people who killed 3,000 american citizens happened to be from. Not IRAQ, who has NEVER ONCE HARMED A SINGLE AMERICAN CITIZEN ON AMERICAN SOIL PERIOD!!!!... so yes, my statement is still valid

No, I have nothing against the army for doing what it's doing.... they are doing their job, the recruiters are trying to get as many people enlisted as possible so if they can find people that are already interested in that sort of field, then more power to them. Like I said I have seen the army straighten some kids the **** out that would easily be loss causes at this point. I think the army is a great thing, my beef comes in with the politicians fighting wars they shouldn't be fighting, and not thinking twice about it because to them the kids dieing are faceless nobodies, they then try to ban all pictures of the coffins coming home and pretty much ban any proof that thousands are dieing over there and basically taking everything the troops died for away from them... it's bull****

I have some new rotors from racing brake that I never used on my 03 wrx. name your price.

Ban what proof aside from the pictures? We all know that around 7,000 have died. What else are they banning?

But as far as Federal Politicians being in the military, I'm down with that, but I think it can be a conflict of interest in a way.

7,000 US troops? it's closer to 3,400 last i heard... then a Large number more injuries... I said trying to ban, the numbers we get on death tolls of U.S. troops is a rough estimate since the U.S. won't release real totals form what i've heard, they also just recently banned MySpace, Facebook, and pretty much the only form(except letters/phone) of communication with friends/family back home

Yeah, I thought it was lower, but it's better to be too high than too low. I didn't know they started banning myspace and facebook. That surprises me because you would think it would lower troop moral quite a bit.
