make the DOD focus on defense.... its right there in the name, defense... not "department of nationbuilding and world policing"

I agree with that. The terrorists should be fought with intelligence and special forces. Sniff them out and go kill them, either with a small arms firefight or a ouple of smart bombs after eyeballing them. No more shaping the world in our image. If we're really doing things the "right" way, the rest of the world will eventually follow.
