BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin walked off with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft's diamond-encrusted 2005 Super Bowl ring, but was it a generous gift or a very expensive international misunderstanding?
It wasn't clear if Kraft, whose business interests include paper and packaging companies and venture capital investments, intended that Putin keep the ring.
James said the ring's worth was "substantially more" than $15,000, as the value had been reported. He refused to be specific, but noted that the ring has 124 diamonds.

That is awesome...
[Pinko Commie Bastard] "I will pretend I do not speak the language well so that when he shows me the ring I can make him think I thought it was a gift. He will be so worried about the business deal and will not want to cause an international incident that he will never say anything and I will have a superbowl ring and he will have bribed me without even knowing he did it."[/Pinko Commie Bastard]

I had a ring with 21 diamonds in it. It was valued at less than $300. Which comes out to $14.28 per stone, so that calculates the ring's value at $1771.43. Course that doesn't take into account the quality of the stones or the sentamental value of a superbowl ring. So I modify my calculations to: stolen ring=decoder ring from a ******* jack box.
