My list, with consideration to the fact that it is a sandwich shop-
1. Newcastle- Always a classic
2. Rolling Rock- Something crisp, to go with a tasty sammich
3. Sam Adams/Seasonal brew
4. MGD- I've been known to drink it occasionally, at least it's better than Bud/Bud Light

But there are sooooo many!! Here are the best beers I've ever had on Tap - although I prefer Cask conditioned beers!
1) Rogue/Morimoto Hazelnut Brown Nectar Ale (At Rogue and Yard House pub in SoCal)
2) Black Prince Porter (Trials Pub)
3) Alaskan amber Ale
4) Brown Bear (Rock Bottom)

I basically only drink two beers when I go out.
1. Fat Tire...not enough places have this on tap and it is always sold out in stores.
2. Sierra Nev. Pale Ale...very popular (Lots of CSUC grads in the SAC area)

Anyone ever had Arogant Bastard Ale (my avatar)? It's been awhile since I've had it but I enjoyed it. I wonder if they'd send me a case for free?

before you decide on your beers, check out your competition in your area first. check out the popular clubs in the around you, talk to the bartenders, and find out what is the most popular brand ordered, and see what beers most of there customers are drinking. actually I would do a survey from your customers for what beers they want, and what kinda beer goes good with your food. Liqour cost wise, tap is always the cheapest. costing anywere from .02 cents per ouncefor domestic, and .04 cents or more per ounce on your imports, including your 10% waste on foam.
I had somewhat a similar problem with that too, since the bottle recycle bill went into effect here in Hawaii.
hope this helps, and goodluck.

I think you should serve some warm, flat English bitter beers that you hand-pump out of the taps. Well I suppose not too many people would order that The more WT beers you serve, the more money you make

1. Fat Tire
2. Some sort of good Hef (IPA, Widmer etc)
3. Sierra Nevada, I hate it, but like mentioned earlier it is a seller.
4. Guinness
And I have had Arragant Bastard. They were at the last SF brewfest. I had already had quite a few beers by that point, but it was just alright imo. My personal fave is Mared-Sous 10, which I doubt you could get in a keg...

1) Newcastle (how can someone not like Newcastle)
2) Big Daddy IPA (or Sierra Nevada - gotta have at least one beer with bite)
3) Kona Brewing Company [anything] (great beers, now owned by Widmer, an eye catcher)
4) MGD (rather have Boddingtons or something, but I agree)
WOW that was hard to narrow it to four. I think it's most important to serve what people want, so listen to your customers and pay attention to keg rotation. Drop what's unpopular if you feel you can. I would normally suggest Sierra Nevada due to it's mainstream popularity, but Big Daddy is great stuff, local as well, and a little bit cooler. Not to mention great with a sammich. Kona Brewing Co makes excellent beer and a lot more attainable now that Widmer owns it. Newcastle rocks. I agree with the need for MGD, and it's the best of the *** beers IMHO.
