Blue Moon is most definately spiced. I do enjoy other Belgian Ales, but Blue Moon pushes the envelope a a touch past my boundaries of acceptable beers. The first one I ever drank, I didn't even make it through the first one, and that was my first beer of the evening. And unfortunately, I repeated the same mistake, months later, with a similar outcome.

So, to summarize, Blue Moon = crap. Thank you, come again.

I tried something last night called mythos. It's a pilsner from Greece that they were giving out free at the bar across the street from my place of employment.

Negro Modelo w/ a lime.
Guinness
Boddingtons
Old Murphy's
Beamish
XX equis
Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot Barley Wine
Fat Tire Ale
Newcastle

Those are some of the more nationally known brands I like.
Rest are local microbrews.
Oh yeah, since this is the SRIC, Sudwerks rocks! I used to live within walking distance to sudwerks. I still didn't make it home a couple of times.

Just a few of my favorites. I have to say that of all the thread surfing I have done on this site this has got to be the best one ever. Tomorrow's Friday so hopefully this thing will get some good posts. By the way, anyone got any funny Mardi Gras stories?

We went in college with no plan and no place to stay. One of our friends (a french foreign exchange student) befriended a cop... or what we thought was a cop... I'm pretty sure he was a cop. Anyway, we ended up crashing at his place and he tried to Jacko my little french friend all night. We slept with our backs to the wall and when we woke up, one of my friends (male) had somehow wrapped his arms around the leg of another friend (also male). Eww. Me and one other guy were the only ones to avoid any kind of fehygy shenanigans that night. The guy was gone in the morning. We were talking and we're not even sure that was his place...

Ah... college.

when i used to drink it was the darker the better....
Guiness was my most frequent choice...
there's also a really good Aussie Stout that comes in a tall bottle and is slightly carbonated (more like seltzer water than beer carbonation...tiny bubbles) and that stuff rocked but was hard to find...

the yeasty darks like bass & newcastles weren't my thing....
i likes the espresso like flavor of real stouts!

or there's always microbrews...
oregon honeywheat was the best summertime beer...

mmmm....
now days i may have an occassional Non-AL St Paulie Girl...just for the flavor.

just wish they made Non-AL Guiness!!!!!

Corona is good, especially now that summer is rolling around and the girlies are wearing less and less (beer and women...)
Fat Tire is good
Pyramid brewery is damn good.
Singha, which especially reminds me of my trip to thailand...damn it was good.
