I really enjoyed watching Top Gear UK, I'd like to think Clarkson will host another show and we can continue to be entertained after all the guy is funny, knows a ton about cars and can drive like a Pro.

As much as it sucks to have him off top gear, they did the right thing. I think at some point his head and bank account got so big that he did what ever he wanted, and forgot that he still has a Boss.

Go apply for a job in the UC system, get hired, get past the 6 month probationary period and then take a swing and watch them bring you back.

I **** you not.

Any public school teaching position with tenured status?

My cousin teaches in Chicago and some of the stories I hear......I think it takes something like 20 years under the current system to fire a tenured union repped teacher?

I heard that they are trying to change that, it might be just in cali, but due to so many issues with teachers.

No. One of my old physical ed teachers from middle school got fired for punching a student after the student said something about his wife or something like that.

I think punching a student would get you more in trouble than punching another faculty

"Trying" is the key work..not "succeeding"...I think that just like the automotive unions, they aren't letting go of their golden goose without a fight But that's a whole another slobber knocker of a thread discussion

True, but we all know that faculty run **** here at the UC system since they are the ones that bring in all the $$$ so I can see somebody getting away with murder if they had enough leverage.

Very true, but I feel like if a student is going that far to disrepect a teacher then something more needs to be done besides maybe giving him detention.
