Unhappy Bad Experiences at Autowest?

I was goin up pleasant grove when i heard a very loud knock, so i had pulled over, but my engine was fine, started right up. wouldnt move. i had it towed to autowest thinking it was something smallish, no. they had told me that i was " missing " gears one and two. They proceeded to tell me i needed a new tranny, so.. i took ALL my subaru money and said ok, i got the new tranny, they also said my clutch had too many hot spots. 800 more. total bill was 6200, and i didnt even get a reach around or a key chain. Customer service LACKED. Lesson learned i guess. never go to a dealer? pshh

Sorry - expensive lesson to learn. I never use a dealership outside of warranty without exploring the shop options first

Not seeing what you paid for, I can only speculate that you paid about $3000 too much.

i got a new tranny from an 05wrx, a new clutch, transaxle, they fixed my ac that didnt work when i bought it and they also fixed some irrelevant stuff, so its not just the tranny, but i still over paid, should have taking my sellers advice and gone to you, lol. next time when i am able to save up again.

btw. saw a niiice forester rockin the dbtuned decal on his sport rack. nice.
