Auto-X Adventures
So,
I participated in my first auto-x yesterday. Two DNF's and finally finished one (out of 3 runs). Damn slalom kept messing me up (all I kept seeing was a sea of orange cones and couldn't figure out where to drive through 'em). What a noob!
Here's the kicker. I got so focused on driving the course right, I started running a 3rd lap on a 2-lap course in my second attempt. Talk about flags being waived and people shouting. Embarrassing!
Oh well, had a whole lotta fun and realized that this passion/obsession we have for our cars is shared by many folks with all different vehicle types. I'm ready for some track time!

aaaaah, you will always remember your first...
Where was the event? I did a lot of autocrossing 10+ years ago and want to get back into it. Do you have a schedule for more events, especially in the Sac or Bay areas?

What number where you? My friend raced, so I hung out and took pictures. I ended up with almost 500 pictures, so chances are I've got a couple of you.
If anyone else was there, give me a description of your car and your number
(just guessing - maybe this was you?)

Next Saturday and Sunday is a practice event in stockton. You'll get 6 runs, and points don't count for the season, so it's perfect event to go to for your first time.
That was me, #0, as in 0 threat lol. (Borrowed the number from someone).
It was at the San Joaquin Fairgrounds in Stockton, Sacramento chapter of the SCCA.
Phread, thanks for the pic. If you have any others, please forward them my way!
