It seems to me that people forget, if you insult a close friend, it's good-natured ball-busting. If you insult a stranger or basic acquaintance, it's an insult.

So, if you don't know someone on here like an old friend, you probably should shut your mouth with the insults. Using "don't take anything I say seriously" as a cop out is bull****. If you don't know me, there's only one way I'm gonna take it.

For example, I'll call Aaron a retard, or Matt a metro pretty-boy. But I don't say the same **** to Soggy or Egan. Sure I know those guy too, but we're not tight like I am with Aaron or Matt, so I don't disrespect them.

All I ever see on this board anymore are garbage threads. Hell, I bowed out of the daily threads about 5 minutes after they started, since they were just substanceless noise. Now every thread is a daily thread in the SRIC. There's 0.01% intelligent conversation here. And worst of all, everything turns to drama because there are some attention whoring posters that intentionally push the buttons of others.

LFP is the most consistant offender, which is why I've got him on ignore... frankly I don't give a **** how fast his cars was, is, or will be, or what problems he's had with which shops, or how right or wrong he is about what happend over at S-Squared, what pictures he's taken recently, which cars he's street raced, ad nauseum. The bottom line is, he comes of as an arrogant ****-tard, and doesn't seem to understand or care that he rubs people the wrong way. People have asked him to tone it down, and he either doesn't understand how to, or refuses to. That makes him either an idiot, or an *******, both types of people I don't care to associate with.

But LFP isn't the only offender. In general, this forum has turned into a dramatic, e-thugging, gossip circle. Everyone takes every chance to lean into whoever it is that's pissing them off. It seems to be a war between the original SRICers and the recent influx of new subaru owners that bought their cars because they're a cheap way to go too fast on the street. So what do you expect when a bunch of arrogant people show up talking **** about the founders and their friends? As far as I can tell, there are a few people that want their own ricer, drag-racing, e-dick swinging, clubSI clone, and have decided to use the SRIC name. Guess what fellas, Sacramento is large enough for two clubs. Go start your own club, and get your own forum and ***** it up there. If you don't fit in, and don't want to modify your behavior, why try so damn hard to get us to accept your antics?

i-club used to be about quirky cars and cool people, not about power and egos. Ask yourself this, would you rather have a sick-*** STi putting down 550awhp, or an imported, bone stock RB5? If you answered "STi (dawg!)", you're not the right person for i-club IMO. What's sad however is that I think the majority of the people here would pick the STi (hell, how many of you are google searching "RB5 subaru" right now?), and I'm wasting my time with this post. In fact, i-club is pretty much dead to me. This isn't a "farewell" post, but it is an "I don't care anymore post". The Impreza scene has turned too fast and furious for its own good. It killed S-Squared, it killed SRIC, and i-club is on life-support. I'm not gonna give CPR to a dying man... but if by some miracle, the punks go away and move on to some new fasterer and furiouserer car (dear god why can't Nissan sell the R35 Skyline for $15,000) and i-club swings back to the way it was before the WRX came ashore, I'll come back.

Did I say that? That was not a general statement, it was directed to LFP. It was the fact that LFP uses that as another cry for attention, as if there is some kind of competition to be SRIC's fastest car.

I'd quote the PM that LFP just sent me, but it's just not worth my time. It sounds like some pretentious 2Fast 2Furious stuff about breaking records that are meant to be broken. Yawn.

Hell, I'd have the fastest car out there if I had the cash to spend on it, but I don't. I'd have the fastest GC8 on the west coast. I'm a car guy, going fast is what I strive for.
