I know, these bastards are going to make me buy a PS2 + the new controller + GT4... I can't afford $350+tax right now for a game (even if it is the best game evar).

I gotta get Defi's and a reflash...

I decided to wait and buy the PSP and get the GT4 version on that. I'm guessing that the PS2 version is better but for 100 bux more I can get the PSP with the full spiderman2 movie.

Wait... you're going to spend $100 more to get a crappy ersion of the game, on a tiny screen, just so you can watch a mediocre movie on that same crappy screen?

Pay $75 and get the game for PS2 and the movie on DVD!

You should get it anyways big ballar. Then, put it in your car along with some TV's.

You know, I've been thinking about this one for a long time and I have the perfect rims for that car...

Yes it is. You can say the game is built around that controller.

The only time I switch back to 200 degree is for rally, where I need the super quick steering.

Its the PSP that I want really, I've had a PS2 and I sold it because I bought an XBOX. The box has a better online gaming experience. The PSP will play movies mp3s, has a wireless lan function and will have a camera function. I'll probably get another PS2 and GT4 but used and on the cheap. GT4 is the only reason for me to get a PS2 but the PSP has a lot of the features I like. Something to pass the time on road trips and at the airport. I'll see first hand the differences in the handheld and the PS2 version before I make a my final decision.

I've tried 3 different wheel controllers in the past and the slower repsonse always gets me back to the stock controller. That and the pedals usually slide away from you. How does this wheel compare to the others?

I also found out (in GT3) that the analog stick can turn the tires faster than the D pad. Before that I prefered the dpad over the stick.

I'm the same way, I've never liked any wheel I've used enough to prefer it over the controller, and it's more comfortable to play for long periods with a controller

I was way convinced of using the wheel when I beat my own license test time by over 5 seconds over using DS2 in one test. For me the controller has no modulation, its all or nothing, even though it uses analog input.

But yeah at slow speed it is a little bit weird, I switch back to 200 degree on those autoX pylon tests too. I agree that it isn’t too responsive in those situations.

I took the day off yesterday and bought the ps2, the driving force pro wheel, and various games for my bday. No major store had GT4 in, they all said Thursday. Went to Gamestop off of Laguna Blvd by 10:20am, and they said it was coming in at 3:30 pm, reserved copies to be distributed first. So, I outright paid for the game and picked it up at 3:30 right behind the rest of the ricers who paid for theirs. Good game, so far. Trying to get all the licenses just using the wheel, but something seems to be wrong with the brake pedal sometimes. I've heard Logitech has great customer service so I'll be going through them first, before trying to deal with some of the moronic Best Buy employees.
