Is anyone selling a 02-04 subaru wrx?

Trying to join the world of Subarus. Been looking on CL but I haven't found anything too promising. And is it true the engine runs better on stage 2?

For $35k in mods and a brand new engine? I wouldn't even sell for $6,500 stock.

Not necessarily true. I had a 02 WRX that I had built, drove it for 200K+ miles. Did 12.8 on 1/4mile, used for DD, autocross, travel and never had a issue. As long as you take care of it and drive with some sense they last. Every generation has its own quirks. Sold it to my brother-N-law to buy a house and picked up a Sti only because found a SWP limited Sti. Brother-N-law drives it like he stole it and still going strong at 230k+ miles. Go with what fits your budget. A WRX can be built into a equally capable car.

Wow 5 speed junk!? Aha that's harsh! I love my 03! You must not love/take care of your car! wish i had the 2.5l displacement but with the proper mods you'll leave those stage Twoers with 2.5l in the dust! The great thing about these cars is that you can make them better with some elbow grease, love and a bank roll. More elbow grease and love = less bank roll required. Good luck with the scoooob!

Yeah I still say pony up the bucks and get an STI. I wish I had cause it would have saved me 5k in swapping to a 6 speed.

Just skip Subaru and buy a Ferrari, it'll save you a lot of money in parts!
