anyone have experience with carmax?
carmax seems legit, but im a little sketchy about their prices sometimes. seems too good to be true, especially on the cars i look at. i saw one that i wanted in florida and was thinkin real hard if i wanted to transfer it over to roseville, but i thought about it for a minute and now im not too sure.
does anyone have experience with carmax? horror stories? trustworthy?

I have a friend that has trouble keeping a car more than a couple of years before he finds a reason he doesn't like it.
He has had only good things to say about dealing (on both sides - buying/selling) with carmax.

ive bought my 01RS through them in roseville. they were actually very helpful, very nice and no pressure at all when i brought it back a year or so later to see how much they'd buy it for. id recommend them to buy a car from.
1FSTREX bought his STi from there a couple of weeks ago and said they were really cool. I've got another friend that works there and says the sales people are easy to deal with.
the car i want is in florida for a pretty damn good price. would you have it transferred without looking at it? its $850 to transfer it and its non-refundable.. well, except if the car is crap when it gets here of course. im wondering if i should just go for it. not sure how trustworthy they are with the condition of the vehicles they sell, but so far ive heard nothing but good things about carmax.
I would just wait until Roseville gets more. They go through STi's pretty fast. And from what I've heard is that if one car doesn't sell at one location for a given time period, it goes to the next CarMax and so on.

It doesn't even have to be a full-on submarine ride, just high enough to get inside the car. Ever since Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita, any Gulf Coast car is suspect.
