Amazing what a simple filter can do...
I finally went out and bought a pretty good Cir-Polarizing Filter(Hoya HMC) yesterday for one of my many Bday Presents haha(finally got a badass tripod, no more plastic tripod!! lol). It's crazy how basically the EXACT same picture can change just by a filter... These pics are untouched in pshop coloring wise so you can see the real difference
I know these aren't exactly what i'm gunna see the biggest differences, but it was right outside my apartment, and Im lazy lol...
Without filter:

With:

There is alot more color in the green and in the surrounding areas!! I definately can't wait for a track day where I will really be able to notice the difference in this filter:banana:

Do you have any idea what a Circular Polarizer is for? And aren't you the same person that gave me crap for using one? Don't expect great results with panning shots with that filter either, unless you can pan the camera and rotate the filter at the same time.
Try using it for landscapes that include sky with the sun to your right or left, they work best with the light source at a 90 degree angle to the lens element. It is also very useful in removing reflections from non metalic objects (windows, water...) and will reduce reflections on metalic objects.
While that filter is under warranty still, make sure the retainer spring that holds the 2 glass elements together is in good condition. The Hoya filters like to come apart when you least expect or want them to. The Hoya filters are also the hardest to clean and keep clean - I prefer to stick with B&W

Ya I realized that that wasn't the best way to test it. I don't really plan on using it much for the panning, as more for the still car shots to get rid of some of the glare. I got skills though i can pan and spin
here is a better sample...

I wasn't really trying to take a picture of the snow man, I was just doing the window since it's right next to me.
LOL my friend gave it to me on my birthday this weekend, so I was like umm Double you tee eff am I going to do with this. So I set it up so it stares out the window across the ally way to my next door neighbors apartment... figured it would freak them out LOL
