God help me if they pass laws having me disclose what I do in my houses.
As long as there are no police reports you should be ok.

Well, we're gonna submit our offer and see what happens, maybe I'll have an i-club halloween party. :/

All in all we'll already have about a hundred grand in equity by the time it closes. I just don't know if it's gonna be hard to sell in a year or two.

Does anyone know the details of the disclosure law and if there is a statute of limitations?

Maybe I'm overreacting, I guess this type of thing (murder/suicide) happens more often than you'd think. Imagine some of the **** that's gone down in other houses without you knowing. I guess it's just bugging me because I know almost exactly what happened.

Thanks, SRiC.

A Halloween murder party, while really disrespectful to the guy who died, would be a ****ing blast.

If no one had told us we'd have never known.

what about the stories you used to tell me about having ghosts in your bedroom touch you in the naughty places at night ?

I would make sure you keep the carpet as is, you know with the hole cut and section removed from where the body dropped.

You should also find out what day the murder was and have a party that day also, make sure you invite the neighbors...

Why sell? Take out an equity loan in a few years, buy another house to live in and rent this one out...

My understanding is that it is 3 years for a death on the property.

Exploit that, the neighbor kids will never set foot on your property if you make them think it is haunted. I would rig up automatic lights that will come on only in that room and even an outline of a womak with a gun that will pass by the window from time to time...

Thanks, that was my understanding as well. I just needed some more opinions.

The weird thing is that the murder happened in 03-04 so it's almost already been three years. But the chick made the 1,000,000 dollar bail and was just recently convicted and was living in the house up until a few months agos so there's still some of thier furniture in there.

The house is about 1600 feet, two car garage, built in 94 and has a huge backyard around 100ft. x 50 ft. we'll be paying a little more than 400k and selling our 1100 ft. townhouse with no backyard and no garage for 400-415k. SO I guess it's a pretty good deal.

Thanks for the pics Paul.

I'm sorry if they offend, but someone had to lighten things up a tad.

And since dz failed, well, some one had to step up to the plate.

Where's that last one? Looks like what I'd expect compton to look like.

I wonder if anybody lives in Jeffry Dahmers apartment?

You are so not sorry, and besides - ***** them if they can't take a joke...

Yeah, I would have had to sit on a network with logged traffic looking for bloody crime scene photos - that's good for career growth. You had it easy because you took those shots the day your real estate agent showed you the house you bought...

This would be my vote. I still own my first house and I rent it out. It's kinda' nice sitting in my current house, knowing that someone else is paying for the first house and the equity from the first house helped pay for the second house.

Plus there are tax benefits and such. Talk to an accountant, but definitely look into it.
