They were great. I simply drove too hard at points to really experience the grip. I need to slow up earlier on the hairpins as a little bit of my center tread started ripping/rolling from accelerating while in full understeering. But other than that, when I got in the groove on the Slalom, I felt very confident.

According the admin on the Sac Chapter facebook, Stockton's new setup won't be starting construction until possibly end of the year.

Some balling up of the tires is fairly normal on a tire in this category. The tires on the Miata were covered in the balled up spent rubber after my last track day.

If they looked like this I'd say it's fairly normal

Long break is over!

This weekend: San Joaquin County Fairgrounds in Stockton! Bunch of us running SM in the afternoon group Saturday will be leaving Sacramento around 09:00, and in the morning group Sunday leaving around 06:30.

Going to be a warm one, but not as hot as original forecast. Looking at sub-100s for both days instead of the 105 and 101, respectively, originally projected. Still bring water, a big hat, and slather on the sunscreen for you fairer complected folks!

Weeeee much excite!

It was a learning experience this weekend. Didn't take 1st this time in DS but I did reach a new personal level of understanding along with my humble pie.
Here was my sloppy but fastest third run.
