****ty Sunday

So, finally got going on the Brembo rebuild. Go to do the rears, look at the boot and seal kit KNS sent me. Hmm.. 2 dust boots, but only one piston seal. Maybe they sent the wrong one? Email sent off to Ken and move to the fronts. Aggro level [== ] 20%

Bolt up the first pair of halves no problem. Wrestle with the pistons a bit, but no more so than is to be expected for new seals. Get everything finally into place, spray down with brake cleaner and water. Oh look.. a nice steady stream of neon green is flowing off the caliper. Brake cleaner stripped off the first layer of powder coat and even ate down to the metal in the little notches where it pooled. Awesome. Aggro level [===== ] 50%

Clearly frustrated, Nicole and I go for a quick drive to get some refreshments. Oh hey. We have a new GoPro. Lets do some road vids. Get everything setup, watching from WiFi on the phone and GO! Head down the road some "WiFi signal lost". Dafuq? Hop out and, while the case and suction mount are still there, they are mysteriously short 1 GoPro. Apparently if you do road videos and put the GoPro too close to the exhaust--from what I can tell, 18 inches is too close--the heat from said exhaust causes the case latch to soften and fail, and your GoPro will do it's best Houdini impression. Aggro level [==========] 100%

Wow bummer. I'm kinda surprised about the brake cleaner eating off powdercoat, pretty sure that's not supposed to happen.

That's rough man. Might be able to get go pro to replace the camera because of a latch failure. Their customer service is pretty good.

no bueno,Are you sure you had them powder and not wet paint it? I have had a few parts powder coated for the suspension on my DA integra had plenty of grease, brake fluid, coolant etc and never once had any issue.
