Great site, I have around 25 or so track days in my old crx's, but me (and another buddy who does hpde's) just got our first subarus (bugeyes) and curious if there's any main issues with them or things to look out for during track days? Other than the obvious. Being my first turbo car for track days, heat and egt comes to mind. And reading some type of oil starvation stuff on forums from the boxer design is a little scary, but may just be the typical Internet crap. Curious if most run stock ignition maps or not. Thanks!!!

Here are a couple videos of my 2nd HPDE at Sears Point.
Lots of fun passing in this one. I almost crashed into a Corvette and an NSX trying to pass them both on the outside of the carousel at one point.
Drove through boost controller issues that caused loss of boost pressure and flashing CELs but I just kept driving.

At my power/grip level, I don't really worry about oil starvation, but who knows. I use Rotella T6 on the track. I've never had any sort of catch cans or AOS and I kinda don't trust them on these cars. EGT and oil gauges would be smart.
I will say that the track days I did at RFR were too hot for the car and weird **** would happen, like one time it smelled really bad like raw fuel, and other times it was down on power and EGTs were getting high. I really try to only do track days in the cooler seasons. Seems to really help.
