F1 Toro Rosso..Vettel gets the nod, Bourdais gets the Shaft

So now DC has decided to retire, Red Bull have chosen Vettel over Bourdais for next season.

That's right, 4 times Champ car champion, the man who has dominated the top level of american motorsport, has been passed over for a 21 year old.

What does that say about the level of the drivers over here?

It shows that Champ car is nowhere near the top level of motorsport if you can win it 4 times on the trot and then do nothing in F1, the icing on the cake was having your 21 year old team-mate beat you in the same equipment.

I really want to see an Indy driver try his hand at F1..that will be amusing, A NASCAR driver would be even funnier

To be honest, if it were vice versa, most F1 drivers would have a horrible time.

But then again, look what Dornbos did in Champcar in his rookie year!

No one in F1 could do ovals well, but road course they'd be ok.

Mansell won the indycar title in his Rookie year.

And Dornbos was horrible in F1

Vettel has shown some good signs this season. I think between the two they made the right decision. IIRC he raced for RedBull in Junior stuff, too so he's kinda going back into the fold so to speak.
