Bay area Autox that doesn't require SCCA membership?
Just want to test out the suspension so I don't really want to join SCCA just for 1 or 2 events. There used to be CSCC and NASA AutoX but seems like they are gone or something. Help?!? Thanks!
http://www.americanauto-x.com/ in Atwater is an option.
SF Region makes you join SCCA just to run auto-x? Where I'm at, anyone can run (except during divisionals or other special events). The entry fee is just higher if you aren't a memeber.

$30! That's cheaper than SCCA w/ membership AND I would have to work!
Thanks!

Thanks!

Thanks for the link, but it's a little too far for me.

The pavement over there is actually slippery as heck! I couldn't get my car to turn or put the power down, but I was alson on Continental's. It was like driving in the rain.

From what i understand, you do not necessarily need a membership to run an SCCA event. Unless they changed the rules again, someone that is a member can vouch for you. My membership did not come in time so my cousin and I did this a couple of times.

It depends on your region. Our lovely San Francisco Region requires you to have one.

Last week they were allowing guest drivers with no membership. You just have to be there early enough since they will only likely give 5 spots. If it is a huge turnout, it maybe more difficult. So get there early.
