Primitive Racing Designs RallyX Course
Paul Eklund of Primitive Racing designed the RallyCross course for the Oregon Rally Group's final RallyX of the year last Sunday (10/12): "Skull and Cross Cones" a pirate's booty of a Rally Cross
Oregon Rally Group (ORG) had 116 entrants at their final RallyX of the year at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro, OR.
Top honors in Open went to, yes, an Audi sedan, with Subaru's filling in the next bunch of spots. In PGT is was a couple of late eighties XT's that kicked *** over the 2.5RS and WRX crowd in the wet conditions.
The course was almost 7 tenths of a mile long, mostly flowing with several great sweeper corners and 2 straights connecting a series of challenging, but flowing design elements including the "Fallen Tree", the "Bus Stop," "Narrow Bridge," and the "Car Blocking Road" option. The design was based upon a concept submitted by Chris Hartman of www.subrew.com
See www.oregonrally.com for results and season standings.

That was a greast course! Hopefully Paul will design a few next year! Not only was it a great course to drive, it was also the best spectator event of the year (IMO) lots of stuff going on. Anybody see the Volvo wagon go thru the flying finish backwards? Funny...
BTW, 2nd place in PGT was a '87.5 RX Turbo Coupe, I know, I was the lucky driver
