PR-Last Ditch Racing heading to Rallye Baie Des Chaleurs!

Last Ditch Racing(LDR), a Maine based performance rally team is making final preparations for the Rallye Baie Des Chaleurs, Round three of the 2005 Canadian Rally Championship.
Said LDR Driver John Cassidy, "Baie Des Chaleurs is one of the competitors' favorite rallies in the Canadian Rally Championship. The combination of a compact event, fantastic stages and fanatical fans, make it a favorite stop for us every year!"
2005 has seen the team come into their own, and they currently stand second overall in the Canadian Rally Championship and first in the Open Class. At the recent Rocky Mountain Rally in Calgary, Alberta Canada, the team placed second overall and first in the Open Class. Despite a spin on the stage, they set their first fastest stage time of their career as well.
Cassidy and Co-Driver Dave Getchell feel that they're finally coming into their own. "Dave and I have been working with our fantastic crew over the past few years to get to this level in our sport. Consistency has always been a hallmark of the team, and now we're dialing in more speed."
The team knows that Baie Des Chaleurs will not be an easy event in 2005. "The level of competition is high. We're extremely pleased to see several fellow US competitors come North to experience Canadian Rallying. Dave and I are excited and ready for the event. Coming off Rocky with a strong finish adds an important level of confidence in the car for this event."
The team is pleased to be using VP fuel in the car for the first time. "We've been making performance enhancements in a systematic manner over the past year and this is simply another step forward in the development of the car," said Cassidy. The team's next event will be their home event, The Maine Forest Rally July 28-30.
