Good DSLRS for you to start with is Either a Canon or Nikon. . .
I have a Canon XSI and Canon XTI. . . .
Nikon is a great camera as well. either the D80 or D90. . .very user friendly!

you cant buy a new dslr with 400, so if you want a new one you should start saving up a little. if your looking to go used ive seen some good sales on the canon rebel xt and xti, its a nice entry level camera.

i wouldnt buy d40 or xt/xti...unless you want a teeny tiny camera, that is just as "user friendly" as any other DSLR out there. Theyre harder to use IMO
