I use my own service, where I simply use an FTP client to upload to it, and it doesn't compress images at all. If I upload HUGE, it displays HUGE - so I tend to export my images in a smaller size so I can display them without people having to scroll from side to side on their pages.

flickr compresses unless ya upgrade to pro but it is still not bad of a quality
