Ohhh fine.. steal my thunder.
Your picture is going to make my picture look like little kid finger painting.
I'd love to see what you come up with. If its like your other work.. Its going to be great!
I was at f11 and at 30 seconds. Using a 50mm 1.4 on a Sony A850.

Pffft dude your pictures makes mine look like I took it with a toaster

I'm really curious about trying this though, it looks like you could get really creative and have fun with it.

do the "pros" in here have any opinions on induro tripods?
I'm looking at the AT213 and BHD2 head. Would run me about $340 from Adorama. ~6" to 68" range, 22lb capacity for the legs, 39 for the head.

Well, I will be a college graduate and am not hopeful about gainful employment for the next few months or longer. So I guess I would have the time and energy to make another photo theme thread, market it, and shoot for it.

) and I like the twist lock of the Gitzo a lot more than the snap-lock of the Manfrotto. Other than that, I'm completely satisfied with it. I like the quick ability to switch from the vertical center column to a horizontal center column for low to the ground macro shots. It does only support 15.4lbs compared to the Induro's 22lbs though.
I also got in my Op/Tech Strap today and it is amazing. It makes my heavy metal F5 w/ the 70-300 feel lighter than my plastic D90 with just a 35mm prime. I'm in love

I have no clue about Induro tripods but I have a Manfrotto 055 series tripod and I love it to death. My only gripe about it is that I got the 4 section version which is a bit of a pain to fully extend all the legs (my fault, not the tripod

Manfrotto 327RC2

I really like the joystick style. It's not as smooth as a regular ball head style head but it's a lot easier to do adjustments.

We were just playing around at the meet lastnight. I think its one of my favorite shots in the playing around cat. Those shop lights require to much thinking for me to deal with.. least at a parking lot subie meet. I was with 3 others and we got a lot of WTF looks and finger pointing.. Pulling out those lights and I might land an airplane in the parking lot!
Yeah I know what you mean. When I am swinging the big shop light around people must think i am playing star wars. I look full blown crazy

Well, I was never going to make an educated decision on softbox size, so I grabbed the large (instead of giant) and figured I'd teach myself how to properly use it before jumping up to a larger one. Also threw in the B1600 on the order too

Now off to buy CS5 design suite!

Yeah I just tried out the content aware and moved people around in a picture and it worked out perfectly. Scary how it could guess what's behind something in a photograph.

Looks like I was mistaken, the Alien Bees lights are US made (parts such as the protective shipping/storage dome and probably the umbrellas too say they are made in china), Flashpoints I'm not sure about now.
Partially supporting America, woot!
