Sweet!!

Some one can answer my questions

1. Do you use it? If so how many times?
2. How useful is it? What scenarios does it work well?
3. If you use it all the time is it like a P&S at that point
4. does it kill you battery much faster or barely noticable?

Ill stop there for now

No, I don't mind getting down and dirty to get a low angle. I don't use the LCD as a viewfinder anyways with P&S's. My Sony doesn't have the live view LCD though, they released that on the lower end models right after I got my current one.

The only reason I would want a flip-around screen would be if it's like the one on the Canon G11 where you can flip it around to protect the screen.

+1. I have the LCD view finder live view and NEVER use it.

That would be nice. The protector on the LCD screen is easy to change. It is pretty hefty so I am not worried about the LCD, it is behind that.

It's just a gimmick feature IMHO.

my current camera has one and i' ve grown accustomed to it. So why not have it on a better camera? Remember this will just be a hobby toy for me. Now if by some crazy reason I become a great photographer in the near future, it won't really be that hard to upgrade the body.

Your current camera is a P&S right?
