V-Tec power, whatever...

So I'm at Ocean Shores with my kids, and we're pulling on to the beach by the Shilo Inn, like 50 million other people. There's barely a small corridor between the parked cars, but we're making our way, heading north. We're behind this mid '90s Accord, semi-riced out. Nice wheels, big "v-tec power" sticker on the trunk, fart can...with four younger guys inside. We stop for some pedestrian traffic, and, of course...THEY GET STUCK! But wait! Two of the guys in the back seat jump out, and they start pushing down on the TRUNK! As if this will help them get more traction, like they have rear wheel drive. Then the driver starts revving the engine, and sand is spraying the guys pushing down on the trunk. It was then I think they realized they had front wheel drive...no lie!
I've had enough entertainment, so I back up and find my way around them....too funny...

Hey don't knock it... they obviously installed AWP - All Wheel Push - the Flintstones offroad package!
Saw a Civic yesterday (sedan) with one of those foot high wings on it... boy did that look DUMB!

I never get tired of laughing at rediculous honda owners, rollin around with 3 color unpainted body kits reminds me of the mullet driven 3 color camaro's down south. Ask the next honda boy what v-tech even means. If he can crap out an answer, i'll paypal you five bucks

V-TECH= Is a company that makes children's phones!
VTEC-Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Control, have no idea what it does but it makes a nice "wheeee" sound at 5500RPMS!!

From my understanding, V-tech actually uses a three lobe per cylinder cam. So the old addege, you either have high top end or quick acceleration no longer applies. Either way, almost every company has It's own version of v-tech. What was once innovative is now common. So once again, HONDA SUCKS.
You really cant say that "HONDA SUCKS" because they make some of the most reliable cars out there.
Just because a few honda owners revved up on you doesnt mean the whole company sucks!
You are just as bad as those "ricers".
So sorry you have to be a Subaru Enthusiast, you make us look bad you ignorant fool.

I was just looking yesterday at ads for Accords and Civics for my sister. She has a $10k budget, and wants something with under 60k miles, and something that will be reliable for a very long time. Hello, Honda!
I'd love to get her into a Subie, and she wants one herself, but over here in Spokane (I'm visiting right now), there are just not any used Subies (other than 10,000 outbacks).
So, a big
to this thread. A real Subie driver would have pulled out their tow-strap and given them a pull, rather than point and laugh.
Right, there's nothing wrong with Hondas, they're nice cars that go on and on and on... I know, I drove an '89 Civic before I bought my scoobie, great little car.
It's when people take a nice but "boring" car and spend more than the chassis is worth trying to make it look flash that we roll our eyes and groan.

Now just a doggone second there. " A real subie driver would have taken out his tow strap?". Yeah, I got one in my back pocket. Do you carry one around? It's not like my wagon is a 4X4 pick up. I realize it can go real well in sand and snow and all, but it ain't no tow truck by any means. There were four of them, and they had it under control. I was just so amazed that they were pushing down on the trunk. Similar to the folks that put their chains on the rear tires WHEN THEY HAVE FWD. You don't find that entertaining? I've logged many miles in the Subaru's I've owned and am a total "real" Subie driver, thank you very much. Right now I wouldn't think of driving anything else. Well, maybe an S4 wagon if I had the $.
And BTW, Honda's are great cars. Anyone who doesn't think so is simply not acknowledging the history of what Honda has accomplished. Crap, they are great cars! One can only wonder how well a Honda AWD system would do if there was such a thing.
OK, I'm done...just a little self defense and giving credit where credit is due.
