It seems to be over now, but some kid pulled a gun on another kid in the lunchroom. Holed himself up on the 3rd floor. Single shot fired and they brought someone out on a stretcher.
Brilliant, kids!

Nothing has changed over the last 25 years. This is nothing new.
Back in 1978 when I was in high school, I came around the corner in the hall during the middle of class (going to the restroom) and there is two people wrestling together. It was the older brother of a student that went to the school and the principal. A drug deal went bad with the student and he called in his brother to shoot the guy on the other end of the deal.
When I came around the corner the older brother had the gun in his hand and the principal had his hands around the other guys hands. The gun was being pointed all over as they struggled for control. They were bouncing off the lockers and walls and then the gun stopped pointed at me. Just then a classroom door opened and a male history teacher grabbed me and pulled me in the room.
One shot was fired and hit nobody before the principal got the gun from the guy. Police came and arrested the guy. The thing is that it was not even on the local news. If this happened today, it would have been on CNN for a week and discussed all over the world on every talk show known to man.
In Junior High another gun incident happened and a stabbing and they were not on the news either.
Nothing has changed but what the news reports. Today with "instant news" they sensationalize everything that will pull in viewers. This in one way is good but it distorts reality.

hey guys,
I go to school at Gonzaga and was trying to get to golf practice but they had the I-90 west closed for a while, due to the shooting. Its too bad that some innocent kids had to experience this tragedy.
